Dear Friends,

Our core organizing principle has always been: “Power is a product of relationship.” 

Everything we do as LA Voice – whether it’s a one-to-one meeting between grassroots leaders, a large-scale action to demand change, a meeting with a legislator, a get-out-the-vote phone call, or a donation – builds a small bridge between people, and these bridges spread out across the county to create connection, belonging, and power. 

- SB2, the Police Decertification Act, was passed ensuring that police officers who engage in racism and abuse of power can no longer do more harm. 

- We fought alongside Ynes Torres so that she and her family would not get evicted from their home at the height of the pandemic. 

- Through our Faith in Housing program, we helped First UMC in Inglewood keep its doors open by connecting them with resources to build affordable housing and a community center. 

But we have so much more to build.

We must continue to fight back against injustice and hatred and create a society rooted in love that protects and serves all of our families. We must continue to build a strong, prophetic, multi-racial movement driven by people of faiths. We must give our time and resources to defend those in our communities who are most vulnerable right now, and we must lay the foundation for a strategy to transform and reinvigorate our democracy. This is an all-hands-on-deck moment, and we need you.
